Backsnack Packing at The Children's Place

BMA Playgroups and individual members are invited to "sponsor" BMA's monthly volunteer opportunity at The Children's Place.

BMA helps to pack backpacks with food for kids at The Children's Place to take home over the weekend to ensure they have some healthy and yummy fruit, etc. to eat – and BMA supplies the fruit! All you have to do is sign up for a third Friday of the month. Our normal start time is 8:45 a.m. (although this is somewhat movable if need be).

The whole process only takes 30-45 minutes and your kids are welcome (and older kids have a good time helping, too!). There’s plenty of space for your children to play in the same room where we pack the backpacks—sort of like a quick and fun play date!
