Backsnack Packing at The Children's Place

BMA has a long-standing partnership with The Children's Place, Kansas City’s leading trauma-informed early childhood education program and counseling center. Every third Friday of the month, BMA donates fresh fruit and invites volunteers to fill backpacks full of food from TCP's donation pantry to give to children in their day treatment program.

The whole process only takes 30-45 minutes and kids are welcome (and older kids have a good time helping, too!). There’s plenty of space for your children to play in the same room where we pack the backpacks - sort of like a quick and fun play date!

Happy Bottoms 2015-2016

Life. Liberty. And diapers for all.

Why Diapers?

1 in 3 American families struggle to provide enough diapers to keep their babies happy, healthy and dry. In the Kansas City area, an estimated 20,000+ children aren't receiving the diapers they need to be happy and healthy. Despite today’s best outreach efforts, diapers still remain an under-served area of need. Together we can help solve this piece of the poverty puzzle!
